Aussie Beauties Stripped Bare

Aussie Beauties Stripped Bare

David Bromley has captured some of Australia’s most beautiful women nude in his provocative new exhibition.
But you have to hand it to him. Rather than leering at the likes of Megan Gale, Kirsty Hinze, Kate Ceberano, and Collette Dinnigan, David looked to capture the inner beauty of his stunning subjects.
“I’m afraid when a beautiful, famous woman is naked in the room, I’m more intent on capturing the image rather than thinking about breasts,” he told Citysearch’s Emma McGowen.
“I’ve been really impressed with how well rounded these women all are. They all have depth and a spark and I believe there’s some …read more

Movies at Olympic Park

Movies at Olympic Park

There are several outdoor movie festivals in Sydney, but my favourite has to be Movies in the Overflow.
Why does it get my vote? Well, first of all it’s really family friendly. Most film festivals show a small number of kids’ features, opting for more action flicks, horror classics, and other nasties. However, families can always find something everyone will enjoy at Movies in the Overflow.
The best part about it though is that it’s completely free. Now where else can you find that sort of value in Sydney?
Movies kick off at 8:30 pm, but the fun starts from 6 pm. Kids …read more

Record-Breaking Park Hyatt Sale

Record-Breaking Park Hyatt Sale

Sydney’s Park Hyatt Hotel set a new record when it sold for $201.6 million recently. That’s a whopping $1.267 million per room.
An unnamed Japanese investor bought the five-star hotel for $20 million more than the industry estimate according to The Australian.
The Sydney icon has always attracted the best clientele, so it’s little wonder that it’s fetched a premium price.
Over the years travelling celebs like the Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Madonna have stayed at the waterfront hotel. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban also spent their wedding night there. But you don’t need to be a star to stay there; you …read more

Big G Brings Orchestra to the Zoo

Big G Brings Orchestra to the Zoo

Australia’s newest children’s entertainment company Big G Conducts will launch their brand new concert series next month at Taronga Zoo.
It might seem like a strange setting for a concert, but it’s not so unusual at all when you realise the show is a musical animal hunt journey. Animal Tracks features classical pieces like Saint-Saens “Carnival of the Animals” and Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” alongside pop gems like Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock.”
Big G, aka maestro George Ellis, will conduct the show with the help of his friends Bertie Bott and Sugarplum. This show is a great way to expose youngsters …read more

Dangerous Creatures at Sydney Aquarium

Dangerous Creatures at Sydney Aquarium

There are sixteen scary reasons to visit Sydney Aquarium these school holidays, thanks to the centers new Dangerous Marine Creatures exhibit.
The exhibition’s centerpiece is the beautiful but deadly blue-ringed octopus. They may be small, but they carry enough poison to kill up to 26 adults. The fatal cephalopod hasn’t been on show at the aquarium for more than ten years.
“Displaying 12-month-old Bluey in his new home is a great chance to let both Australians and visitors learn about this dangerous creature, so they know what to look out for at the beach,” senior aquarist Dave Watts said in a press release.

Iceman Exhibition is Too Cool

Iceman Exhibition is Too Cool

We’ve all seen the recent television commercials where the icemen Foötzi and Toötzi run amok at the Australian National Maritime Museum. The hilarious ads advertise the museum’s latest exhibition, Iceman: The Story of Ötzi.
But just who was Ötzi? Well, he was found 16 years ago in an Italian glacier, which had kept him preserved for around 5300 years. That makes him the oldest known wet mummy in the world. The exhibition explores the mystery surrounding Ötzi’s life and death. Kids can see a replica of the mummy and the reconstructed model of how Ötzi would have looked before he died.
