Classical music buffs take note. The Sydney Symphony is about to launch their third composer festival this year. This time, the event will honour the legendary Russian composer, Rachmaninov.
One of the world’s foremost Rachmaninov conductors, Vladimir Ashkenazy, will lead the Sydney Symphony for nine very special performances. The symphony will also enjoy guest performances by the pianists Cristina Ortiz, Kazune Shimizu, Lukáš Vondráček and Garrick Ohlsson. These incredibly musicians have been hand-picked by Maestro Ashkenazy for their technical and expressive expertise.
