Dangerous Creatures at Sydney Aquarium
There are sixteen scary reasons to visit Sydney Aquarium these school holidays, thanks to the centers new Dangerous Marine Creatures exhibit.
The exhibition’s centerpiece is the beautiful but deadly blue-ringed octopus. They may be small, but they carry enough poison to kill up to 26 adults. The fatal cephalopod hasn’t been on show at the aquarium for more than ten years.
“Displaying 12-month-old Bluey in his new home is a great chance to let both Australians and visitors learn about this dangerous creature, so they know what to look out for at the beach,” senior aquarist Dave Watts said in a press release.
The blue-ringed octopus will be on show alongside stonefish, sharks, and other dangerous animals. All these menacing marine creatures will be marked with a red skull, so visitors can’t miss them.
