The Moon, The Stars, and Valentine’s Day

Stars and heartsIn my parents’ day it used to be incredibly romantic to spend a night cuddled up together gazing up at the stars. Trust me lads, modern women need a little more than that to impress them, but a spot of star gazing is still as romantic as ever. That’s where the Sydney Observatory comes in.

They’re hosting a Valentine’s Day event tomorrow night. It all kicks off at 7 pm in the northern courtyard. Enjoy the sensual jazz stylings of Music with Panache, supper, and drinks while you take in the sunset. Honestly, when was the last time you really watched the sun set?

Once the sun sets it’s inside for a romantic tour of the 3D Space Theatre and telescopes. If the skies are cloudy, you won’t miss out. Instead you’ll enjoy a cosy session in the planetarium.

After the tour you’re welcome to retire to the courtyard, relax in the beanbags and listen to more jazz as you and your love take in the summer night’s sky.
