Australian Ballet Launches New Season

Australian Ballet, Source: Sydney Opera House websiteThe Australian Ballet stacks up as one of the best in the world. If you’ve never seen this amazing dance troupe perform now’s your chance, because tickets to the 2008 season have just gone on sale.

This year’s program is sensational. Some of the highlights include Graeme Murphy’s interpretation of everyone’s favourite Swan Lake, the emotional Sir Kenneth MacMillan ballet Manon, a tribute to Jerome Robbins, and Interplay, three world premieres from some of the world’s greatest choreographers.

All the ballets will be performed in Sydney’s most famous venue, the Opera House.

Dates: 4 April to 17 December

Public transport: Catch a bus, ferry, or train to Circular Quay, then walk five minutes to the Opera House
