Sydney Photo Friday: Anzac Bridge

Millions of us drive across Anzac Bridge every day, but we rarely get to see it from this amazing angle. More than just the Sydney Harbour Bridge’s poor cousin, Anzac Bridge is a truly striking marvel of modern architecture. The lights against the dappled night sky just add to the appeal of this gorgeous photo.

Sydney Photo Friday: Surfer Dazzles at Dee Why

I seem to have a pattern of posting beach pictures whenever the mercury rises. Looking longingly at images of surfers cutting through the waves doesn’t necessarily make me any cooler, but I can’t seem to help myself. This beauty was taken at Dee Why.

Sydney Photo Friday: Blue Skies in Sydney Skyscrapers

What an amazing photo this is! I love the skyscrapers in Wynyard, but I’ve never seen them captured so vividly with the clouds and blue skies of Sydney reflected in their glass panels. Photos like this make me glad we’ve left winter far behind! Bring on more of these clear blue days!

Sydney Photo Friday: Whitewater at Bondi

As the mercury soared today I figured I’d do my best to cool you down. This photo might just do it! I love this shot of the whitewater breaking over the pool at Bondi Beach.

Sydney Photo Friday: Black and White Sydney By Night

I love the way that black and white photographs can bring out a place’s natural beauty. We’ve all seen the lights of the city, but when you strip the night of all it’s color what you’re left with is this striking shot.

Sydney Photo Friday: Man Meets Nature

I love this photo because it truly captures that beautiful duality of Sydney. On one hand we’ve got a natural paradise, with beautiful parklands and lush green trees. Then there is the thriving hustle and bustle of the city, with tall skyscrapers reaching to the sky. I love them both, and sometimes it’s just nice […]

Sydney Photo Friday: Illegal Rock-Climbing Makes for a Great Shot!

You’re not technically allowed to climb Balls Head, but this gutsy rock climber did. Thankfully he captured the moment so we don’t have to do it too and risk being thrown in gaol! What an amazing silhouette this is with the Sydney harbour Bridge and Opera House in the background!

Sydney Photo Friday: Opera House Goes Pink

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month so I figured it was pretty appropriate to dig through the vault and show you this beautiful photo of the Opera House. A couple of years ago it was bathed in pink lights to raise awareness of breast cancer, and it’s just as important to do so today.
So get your […]

Sydney Photo Friday: The Harbour During APEC

Sydneysiders don’t look fondly back at the time when our city was shut down for APEC. But while Sydney was turned upside down, it did make for some beautiful photos. Ignore tha security barriers and just focus on the tranquility we rarely see around the harbour. The sepia tones just add to this photo’s sense […]

Sydney Photo Friday: World Square

I love this shot of World Square. It just makes this space in the heart of the city look so futuristic and alive. So often we see the shots of the heritage areas and the icons, it’s really nice to see an image that captures that other side of Sydney.
