Dive Into Sydney

Sea dragon

It may not be as famous as The Great Barrier Reef, but scuba enthusiasts will be impressed at the dives on offer in Sydney Harbour.

The harbour is home to a fantastic variety of marine creatures including wobbygong sharks, large bull rays, giant cuttlefish, leafy sea dragons, blue groupers, and many more. The conditions are fairly warm, with temperatures ranging from 15-24 degrees Celcius. Visibility in the clear water is also excellent. It averages at around 10 to 12 metres, but can be as good as 25 metres if you’re lucky.

If you plan to dive in Sydney, I recommend seeing the folks at Pro Dive Manly. They offer a range of experiences including shore diving, boat diving, and perhaps the most exciting, night diving. That’s when the marine animals are most active, so you’re guaranteed to see something special.

They run dives from a variety of Sydney locations including Clifton Gardens, Camp Cove, Gordon’s Bay, Shiprock, and Bare Island. Each spot offers a new diving experience, so why not visit them all?

Pro Dive Manly cater for experienced divers, and guides are always on hand to help you if you need it. All the gear you need is available to hire, but if you have your own you can save a little cash.

If you’ve never been diving before, there’s no better time to start. Pro Dive Manly run regular training courses to teach you everything you need to know!
