Dragon Boats Visit Darling Harbour
The excitement of the Chinese New Year Festival continues this weekend with the
Dragon Boat Races.
More than 100 sporting, social, and corporate teams will contest this traditional Chinese sport over two days at Darling Harbour. It’s quite a spectacle, with 22 paddlers in each boat rowing to the beat of a traditional drum.
There’s also plenty to see on shore too, with Chinese lions and dragons entertaining the crowds. Spectators can also enjoy Chinese foods and gifts at the markets.
