Easter Fun at Nutcote

by Lauren on March 22nd, 2008

Nutcote is the NeuGumnutstral Bay home of beloved children’s author and illustrator May Gibbs. The house has been preserved as a museum to celebrate the life of this adored literary figure and her most famous creations, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, and Bib and Bub.

This historic home was designed for May by BJ Waterhouse. She lived there for 45 years from 1925, and wrote many wonderful books in the home’s studio overlooking the harbour.

There’s always plenty to enjoy, but it’s worth planning your visit now to take advantage of tomorrow’s Easter festivities. Bring your basket to join in the Easter egg hunt held every year in May’s English garden. It starts at 11:30 am sharp, so don’t be late!
