Free Bike Breakfast Postponed
Tomorrow is World Environment Day, and Sydney was all set to get in the spirit with free bike commuters’ breakfasts.
But have you looked outside lately? You’d have to be crazy to cycle in this torrential weather.
The good news is that Sydney City council still wants to encourage people to ditch the car and cycle into the city, so they’re rescheduling the event for Thursday 12 June.
“We are proud of our bike riders for choosing a green and healthy form of transport,” said Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP.
So make sure you mark it in your calendar and head on down to a breakfast site between 7:30 am and 9 am for tea, coffee, pastries, and some free cycling goodies.
Free commuters’ breakfasts will be held at Pyrmont’s Union Square, Observatory Hill, and Hyde Park South.
