Paralympic Team Comes Home
Thousands turned out to see our Aussie Olympic athletes when they returned home, so let’s not forget our paralympians! Sydney will host an official Welcome Home Ceremony tomorrow to toast these local heroes.
It all kicks off at Town Hall, where the team will be officially welcomed at midday. Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP will present the keys to the city to triple gold medallist and world record sprinter Evan O’Hanlon. Then NSW Premier Nathan Rees will present an official plaque to men’s wheelchair basketball gold medalist Troy Sachs. Silver and bronze medal winning cyclist Lyndy Hou will also speak on behalf of the team.
Everyone is invited to come along and pay tribute to the success of these extraordinary athletes.

Parking: George Street will be closed between Park Street and Bathurst Street between 11 am and 1:30 pm. Fans are advised to use public transport
