See Sculpture by the Sea

by Lauren on October 30th, 2007

Sculpture by the Sea, Source: Charlie Brewer @ Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/charliebrewer/Love art, but fed up with stuffy galleries? Then Sculpture by the Sea may be the exhibition for you. Australia’s largest free outdoor sculpture festival opens this Thursday.

Works from over 100 artists from 18 countries around the world will be on show until November 18. They include pieces from local sculptors Bert Flugelman, Anne Ferguson, Michael Le Grand, Orest Keywan, and Clari Hali.

You can see the sculptures on the 2 km Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. What a great way to get a little exercise and culture at the same time!

Along the way make sure you don’t miss the miniature sculptures inside the Bondi Pavilion and Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club.
