Something Special at the Sofitel
If you’re after a little luxury while visiting Sydney, the Sofitel Wentworth has the answer. The pampering starts the moment you arrive when you book one of their club rooms.
There’s no need to worry about parking your car, because the valet does it for you. While they’re taking care of the hard stuff, you can settle in with a welcome cocktail.
You won’t have to queue with the rest of the rabble in the lobby, as club room guests are treated to a private check-in centre on the upper level. Checking in is always a fairly boring procedure, but the Sofitel staff liven it up with a glass of chilled champagne.
You can then take a guided tour of the hotel’s new facilities, which include a well-stocked library, stylish meeting rooms, and the revamped bar. You could take time out for a few more drinks here, but you’re probably dying to see the rooms.
Trust me, they’re worth it. The 100 club rooms are situated on the hotel’s top three floors, so they offer fantastic views of the city below. Each one has a feather down king-sized bed, the perfect place to lounge around while enjoying your complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries.
You’ll also enjoy free Evian water, get your shirt ironed for the next day, and even get your shoes shined.
The Sofitel’s luxury rooms are easy to sleep in, but if it’s not quite to your liking you could always order a specialty pillow from the pillow menu, or an iPod to play you a lullaby.
When you wake you can make yourself an espresso with the machine in your room, go down and enjoy your complimentary breakfast, then relax until your late check-out.
The club room also comes with your own personal concierge and butler. Of course, all this luxury comes at a price, but you deserve a treat, don’t you?
The Sofitel is in the middle of the CBD, so many popular attractions including the Opera House and Harbour Bridge are within walking distance.
