The exhibition sees 12 local painters and two photographs interpret the sunny season of summer! Virginia Bucknell, Anita van Grootveld, Joanna Jaraczewska, and Janicke Johansen are just some of the contributing artists.
“Summer Moments invites its viewers to admire the variety of artistic interpretations of the summer theme and celebrates the gift of life in a myriad of styles,” said Inna Moshkovich, Art Moment Gallery’s curator and abstract artist.
The exhibition will show until December 24, making it a welcome respite from the heat and from the Christmas shopping!

No matter how old I get, and how many high-tech toys I acquire, flying a kite remains one of life’s great pleasures. It seems a lot of people agree with me because the Festival of the Winds is celebrating its 30th birthday tomorrow!
The skies will come alive in a flurry of color when hundreds of kites of all shapes and sizes take flight. Look out for the international guests flying kites all the way from India, Malaysia, China, and Japan! These guys take their kites pretty seriously, but the event is open to all kite lovers.

To make your choice a little easier, I’ve put together my top 10 places (in no particular order) to catch some rays.

Bondi Beach is Australia’s most famous. This means two things. It’s got fantastic waves, worthy of the accolade. It also gets very crowded. However, it’s a great place for a surf or a spot of people watching. There are also some fantastic eateries just across …read more
