Few Sydney artists made the impression on the art world that Brett Whiteley did. More than 15 years after his death his works still resonate with life. This is certainly the case for those housed in The Brett Whiteley Studio in Surry Hills.
The artist bought the former warehouse in 1985, and converted it into an impressive studio and exhibition space. In 1988 he moved in, and he lived there until he died in 1992.
