The Sydney Traveler

I’ve just returned home after five days on the road with my husband. While I clearly love Sydney, I decided the Christmas break was the perfect opportunity to swap the city life for some time in the country. We visited a little town called Mirboo in Victoria, which has a brewery, a few shops, and little else. As Mirboo is around 12 hours drive from here, we also stopped at Yass and Cooma, which are only slightly bigger than Mirboo.

Today is Blog Action Day, a fantastic initiative encouraging bloggers all around the world to talk about a very important issue: the environment.
I know we’ve all been saturated by talk of the environment these days. It seems you can’t turn on the television without hearing about global warming, recycling your printer cartridges, and that Tasmanian pulp mill.
My biggest problem is that I’m just not sure what else to do. I’ve changed all my light bulbs to those environmentally friendly ones. I take my own cloth bags to Coles. If I’m organised enough, I even take meat out of the freezer …read more
