Whether you’re in the market for a new vessel, or you just want to dream about it, this fun festival has plenty to satisfy.

This year there are six halls, spanning more than 28, 000 square metres, and more than 270 exhibitors in the Darling Harbour Convention Centre alone. There’ll be more than 800 boats inside, but that’s not all.

Step outside and the action continues at the marina outside. This is where the really good stuff is, the “super yachts” priced up to $10 million each. I could never afford one, but I love to drool over them and pretend! The one kilometre outdoor space is the largest purpose-built marina in the Southern Hemisphere, so it’s the perfect place for more than 280 boats and over 100 exhibitors.

With a huge range of attractions, the show is fun for the whole family. All the leading marine retailers, manufacturers, importers, and distributors will be there, so you’re bound to find something to suit your taste and budget.

Dates: Thursday 31 July to Tuesday 5 August
Times: Open 10 am to 8 pm for the halls and 10 am to 6 pm for the marina
Location: Darling Harbour
Address: Exhibition Centre and Cockle Bay Marina
Public transport: Take the train to Town Hall station and walk down Druitt Street, take a ferry to Aquarium Wharf, take the monorail to Darling Park or Convention station, or take the light rail to Convention station
Parking: Parking is available at Harbourside Car Park and Kings parking stations at 182 and 383 Sussex Street
Cost: Day passes cost $18 for adults, $10 for kids, and $42 for families
Website: http://www.sydneyboatshow.com.au

Post from: The Sydney Traveler

Travel XPO Makes Getting Away Easy

Events

Darling-Harbour

Exhibition Centre

expo

holiday

Travel XPO

I spend all my time here telling you all the fantastic things abut Sydney, but if you’re keen to see what the rest of Australia or the world has to offer you should check out this weekend’s Travel XPO.
