When I was a kid, I never wanted to go to the National Maritime Museum. Try as they might, this museum showcasing Australia’s maritime history never seemed to offer anything to really excite me. This school holidays though they’re right on the money with Wet World.
Wet World is a fun interactive display which might just be one of the best ways to cool down this summer. It’s a wild water playground of river races, Aqua Play activities, and the Super Soaker Action Zone!

There’s plenty of fun stuff for the kids at Redfern these school holidays. It’s all part of the Sydney Children’s Festival, a creative playground for little ones aged five to fifteen.
There are loads of performances, workshops, and activities, and best of all – most of them are free! Here are some of the fun things the kids can look forward to

The festival has a petting zoo with a difference. The animals aren’t very furry, and they’re not all friendly. They’re dinosaurs! Ancient life-like prehistoric creatures will entertain and educate the little ones at this unique event.

Kids can play archaeologist at The Rocks these school holidays. Now that’s got to be better than digging up your back yard!
The Kids Dig Program is a one-hour hands-on session which will see budding archaeologists discovering genuine artefacts at one of Sydney’s oldest historical sites. They could find bones, pottery, and other exciting treasures!
