The Domain will come alive with the stirring sounds of classic music next Saturday. Always a highlight of the Sydney Festival calendar, this year’s Symphony in The Domain concert promises to be one of the best yet.
This year’s theme is Spellbound, and no doubt audiences will be. Jonathan Stockhammer will lead the Sydney Symphony through some of the world’s best-loved pieces, including works from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Stravinsky’s The Firebird.

Jazz Strikes Right Notes in The Domain

Jazz in the Domain is always one of the highlights of the Sydney Festival. It’s on again this Saturday night, with an explosive new lineup.
This year’s theme is El Barrio, the Spanish name for New York’s vibrant Eastside community. Commonly known as Spanish Harlem, it is the birthplace of boogaloo, Latin soul, and salsa.
This year’s concert, led by the legendary Oscar Hernandez, pays tribute to the musical stylings of this influential location.
The night kicks off with the Phil Slater Quartet. The Aussie foursome has earned an international reputation after playing jazz festivals in Montreaux, Montreal, Northsea, and Umbria.
