The Adventure Travel and Backpackers Expo Is On
It’s Friday: a day when so many of us are dragging our feet at work and dying to get away. But don’t just think about it - do it! If you’re looking for a little inspiration, the Adventure Travel and Backpackers Expo has you covered.
Around 200 exhibitors will tempt you to visit Asia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Europe, Africa, and North America.
But you don’t need to go that far to get away. Experts will bring you up to speed on great getaways to Cairns, The Whitsundays, Western Australia, Tassie, South Australia, and The Territory.
The show will feature state, interstate, and overseas tourist bodies, tour operators, accommodation providers, transport companies, health insurance providers … just about anything you need for your ideal holiday!
If you’re looking to work while you’re abroad, make sure you stop by the stalls offering overseas work opportunities and visa requirements. Now doesn’t that sound better than your office job? If you’re feeling altruistic, you can even learn about volunteering abroad.
This year’s expo is bigger than ever, prompting organisers to shift it to its new home at the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour. The expo is open from midday to 7 pm today, and 10 am to 4 pm this weekend.
Admission is ordinarily $7, but if you visit the Adventure Travel and Backpackers Expo website you can print out a free admission voucher.
