Think Pink for Breast Cancer Research

by Lauren on September 21st, 2007

Walkers at last year’s Dove Pink Star Walk, Source: Dove websiteThe Dove Pink Star Walk is a fantastic way to get some exercise and help the National Breast Cancer Research at the same time.

Thousands will participate in the twilight event on October 6. Walkers will begin at the Royal Botanic Gardens and follow a 5 km scenic route past the Opera House, finishing at Darling Harbour’s Tumbalong Park.

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, and entertainment throughout the evening will help keep everyone’s spirits up.

The event is open to women, men, and children, so the whole family can take part. 2, 500 Australian women die of breast cancer every year, so shouldn’t you do something about it? Simply visit the Dove website to register your interest.
