1. Vibe Hotels around the city are offering Valentine’s Day packages from $175 a night. This includes overnight accommodation with a complimentary room upgrade, breakfast for two in your room, and a Vibe CD to take home as a souvenir of your night.
2. Celebrate at the Shangri-La with their Occasions package. It includes overnight accommodation, valet parking, a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne, strawberries, and handmade choccies on arrival, and breakfast for two at Café Mix the next morning. You won’t need to rush off either, with late 4 pm check-out. Packages are available from $398 a night.
3. Coogee Sands’ Romance Package delivers plenty of luxury. For $135 per person you’ll stay in a deluxe studio room, or pay an extra $40 for an ocean view room. Each package includes wine and chocolates on arrival, an appetiser before your romantic dinner for two. The next morning you’ll enjoy breakfast in your room, which you can take your time with because check-out’s not until noon.
4. The Observatory Hotel offers ultimate indulgence with their Valentine’s package. When you arrive you’ll be greeted with a French champagne cocktail. You’ll stay in a luxury room, where a long-stemmed rose and fresh strawberry platter awaits. Then you’ll gorge yourself on a seven-course degustation menu in the Galileo Restaurant. While you feast on the blend of Japanese and French food, you’ll be serenaded by a harpist. Of course, all this luxury doesn’t come cheap. The Valentine’s package costs $919 per room.
5. Grace Hotel’s Mon Amour romance package is ideal for an indulgent night out. You’ll stay in a superior king room, where you’ll find a chilled bottle of Domaine Chandon and chocolate truffles waiting for you. You can relax in the hotel’s heated swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room. The next morning you’ll enjoy breakfast in your room and a late 1 pm check-out. As a souvenir of your night, you’ll receive a cuddly teddy bear. Prices start from $300.
