Walk Sydney’s Seven Bridges

by Lauren on October 25th, 2007

Participants walking over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Source: Seven Bridges Walk websiteLast year Medibank Private launched the Seven Bridges Walk, a unique event catering for all ages and fitness levels. It was such a success they’re doing it again this Sunday October 28.

Competitors can walk all or part of the 25 km route which crosses Sydney’s seven key bridges. This is not a race, and you can start the course at any time during the day. However, if you intend to walk the entire course you should start before midday to ensure you finish before 5 pm.

The Medibank Private Seven Bridges Walk is unique for its focus on exercise rather than competition. Everyone’s a winner, regardless of how far they walk!

While this is a free event, walkers are encouraged to donate to the charities the event supports. All proceeds raised will benefit beyondblue: the national depression initiative, The Cancer Council NSW, Diabetes Australia - NSW, and The Heart Foundation. Donations can be made online or on race day.

A free bus service will help participants get back to their starting point once they’re done.

The course and facilities will be open from 8 am to 5 pm. To register and find out more information, visit the Medibank Private Seven Bridges Walk website.
