Wildflowers in Bloom at Ku-ring-gai

by Lauren on February 23rd, 2008

Wildflower Garden, Source: Ku-ring-gai Council websiteAfter all this rain and a much cooler summer than usual, Sydney’s gardens are looking more beautiful than ever. So it’s a perfect time to get to the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, located on the north shore.

This native bushland features short and long tracks to suit all ages and fitness levels. Beginners will love the wheelchair and stroller-friendly Senses Track, while those after more of a challenge should check out the Mueller Track.

And isn’t it always easier to walk when you’ve got something pretty to look at? Here you’ll see beautiful ponds, stunning waterfalls, and some of Australia’s finest flora.

You can set off on your own or enjoy a guided tour. The park also offers open air and undercover picnic areas and electric barbeques, allowing families to really make a day of it.
