Winter Warmers at La Grillade

It’s winter, and you know what that means: rich hearty comfort food. Or is that just me? If you’re craving all those delicious goodies, you might want to check out La Grillade Restaurant & Bar.

This delightful Crows Nest eatery combines classic fare with modern French cuisine.

The setting is perfect for a romantic night out. There’s the French provincial style décor, friendly service, an awesome wine list, and sumptuous food to match.

The restaurant has won awards for their steak so you can’t go wrong ordering the Black Angus eye fillet or the Wagyu beef. But if you’re not in the mood for beef, the loin of Gippsland lamb with black olive jus and the roast Barbery duck sound might tempting. I’m getting hungry just writing about it!

One of the other things I love about La Grillade is that they make dessert easy with a tasting plate for two. Why choose just one dish when you could sample Grand Marnier soufflé, macadamia pecan nut brownie, vanilla crème brulee, lemon cremeux with peach jelly, and a honeycomb sandwich?

You’ll have to waddle home after all that, but I don’t think you’ll really care!
